Obituary for Gary Lynn Sharp


Gary Lynn Sharp, age 68 of Lake City, passed away on Saturday, August 20, 2016 in Florida. Gary was born on April 9, 1948 in Knox County, Tennessee to the late Claude Park Sr. and Muriel Lena O'Dell Sharp. Gary worked for and later retired from the United States Postal Service as a mail carrier. Gary was a veteran of the US Army. Gary was a member of the Island Home Baptist Church in Lake City. He loved to travel and was an avid sports fan. Gary is preceded in death by his parents.

Brother Claude Park Sharp and Patti Clinton

Nieces Jessica Brooks and Roy Powell
Jennifer Williams Knoxville

Great Nieces Kalei Williams
Kiera Brooks

Visitation: 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, August 26, 2016 at the Hatmaker Funeral Home in Lake City, Tennessee.
Funeral Service: 8:00 p.m., Friday, August 26, 2016 with Rev. Dennis Galloway officiating in the Hatmaker Funeral Home Chapel.
Interment: Family and Friends will meet at the Sharp Cemetery in Speedwell, Tennessee on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. for Gary's graveside service and interment.
