Obituary for Opal Mcdaniel Harris

Opal McDaniel Harris, age 100 of Lake City, passed away on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at her residence. She was born in Anderson County, TN to the late John Charles McDaniel and Sarah Ethel Hunley on August 27, 1916. She was an avid gardener and an avid quilter. Opal was well versed in Bible Scripture and was a member of Main Street Baptist Church. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great children. In addition to her parents, Opal is preceded in death by her Husband: William Oscar Harris, and her brother: Charles “Bo” McDaniel.

Visitation: Sunday, October 30, 2016 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Main Street Baptist Church in Lake City.
Funeral Service: Sunday, October 30, 2016, 7:00 PM at Main Street Baptist Church with Rev. Wayne Phillips officiating.
Interment: Family and friends will meet at 10:15 AM at Hatmaker Funeral Home to go in procession to Leach Cemetery in Lake City for an 11:00 AM graveside service on Monday, October 31, 2016 for a graveside service for Mrs. Opal.
