Ruby Etta Phillips Durst, age 52 of Clinton, Tennessee went home to be with Our Lord on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at her residence. Ruby was born on September 19, 1964 in Knoxville, Tennessee to the late Charles and Edith Phillips. She was a member of Freedom Crossing Church in Clinton. Ruby loved spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed singing gospel music. One of her favorite songs was “Just Want to Thank You Lord.” Our sister is now singing with the Angels. In addition to her parents, Ruby is preceded in death by her infant son, James Phillip Durst, infant brother Leamon Phillips, and nephews: Tim Bunch, James Phillips and Adam Phillips.

Visitation: Sunday, October 30, 2016 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Hatmaker Funeral Home in Lake City.
Funeral Service: Sunday, October 30, 2016, 8:00 PM in the Hatmaker Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Tim Jenkins & Rev. Murl Phillips officiating.
Interment: Family and friends will meet at New Pilot Cemetery in New River for a 2:00 PM graveside service on Monday, October 31, 2016.
